The PTO works hard to raise money to benefit many programs at McDonald. Some of the things PTO has helped to fund in the past include: library books, music, dance and other performing arts, playground equipment, science materials, social studies materials, visiting authors, art supplies and artist in residence programs, field trips and many other things!

To raise money for all of these great things, we have several ongoing fundraisers including:

  • Box top
  • Safeway
  • escript
  • Office Depot
  • Ink Cartridge Recycling

Many of these programs only require you to sign up once, costs you nothing, and the school receives money from purchases you make. Please watch for brochures in your Wednesday Express explaining these programs.

  • In addition to our ongoing fundraisers, we try to have only one or two other big fundraising events. This year we will start with our a Great American Fundraiser sale which includes wrapping paper, bags, gifts, candy and more! This fundraiser will kick off in September. You will receive a packet of information in the Wednesday Express explaining all about it.
  • In September, we will be holding a Duck Fun Carnival at the school. There will be duck-themed carnival games, a photo booth and concessions. This is a brand new event this year and we plan to have it on alternating years for many years to come!
  • In December, on alternating years, we host a Winter Ball. This is a fun time to get dressed up fancy and take your family out for a fun evening of dancing in the school gym. The photo booth has been a big hit at this even, as well as the bake sale!
  • In March, we will be sponsoring a family nacho and bingo night. This was a really fun event last year and we are all looking forward to having it again this year! Be sure to watch the Wednesday Express for more information.
